Rebekah Orr is the owner of Empowering Birth Doula Services and is passionate about supporting all types of birthing people. She is currently in graduate school at Wright State University studying clinical mental health counseling. She has experience working through trauma and believes in the power of support systems. She focuses her studies on pre and postpartum mood disorders, and supporting those who experience traumatic birth and/or infant loss.
She has completed her DONA doula training, introduction to childbirth as well as breastfeeding for doulas.
Rebekah is an advocate for women's health, physical as well as mental, and feels strongly about the importance of equal care for all women.
Her passion about doula work lies in her belief that a support system is crucial to the health and wellness of families. She feels that a doula's role as a support person is irreplaceable for the birthing person and partner and is grateful that she gets to be apart of the miracle of birth. She feels that one of the most important things a doula does is help the family understand their options and empower them to make informed choices for the birth that they want.
